The brand name “matsurika” — the Japanese word for jasmine — reflects our wish that each person shines with their own unique radiance, creating gentle connections that extend far and wide. In the language of flowers, jasmine symbolizes “radiance” and “gentleness,” values at the heart of our vision.

We collaborate with families who continually refine their working methods within their respective lifestyles, creating products together as artists.
This initiative seeks to open up the sensibilities and stories nurtured within each household to society through the act of making things.
We give form to the feelings expressed in their uniquely shining creations through zutto matsurika, offering them to those who wear them. These special fabrics, bearing not just the artist’s name but also the work’s title, inspire simply by being worn.

Junko Kawashima
Featuring motifs inspired by the love and gratitude that emerged from embracing darkness—a light cherished by the Kawashima family. Expanded into scarves, ribbon scarves, and scrunchies.
Junko Kawashima / Junko Kawashima works as an illustrator while raising two daughters. Her second daughter has the rare and difficult-to-treat Aicardi syndrome. Alongside her art, she studies child development support every day.
Asahi Senshoku Co., Ltd.
Founded in 1918 and based in Ashikaga City, Tochigi Prefecture, specializing in traditional hand-printing techniques. Committed to “Made in Japan” throughout all production processes.
Sugiura Textile Co., Ltd.
A textile manufacturer based in Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture. Founded in 1948, it primarily develops fabrics using natural materials (cotton, linen, silk, wool, etc.).
